We begin the tour at 8:30 am, picking you up at the hotel right after breakfast, which is served in your own accommodation. We continue towards the Catarpe Valley, a place that many people do not even know exists when they visit San Pedro de Atacama. Being outside the most traditional circuits, it offers a much quieter experience, allowing you to appreciate the landscape and walk calmly. The experience can be done on foot or by bicycle, depending on your profile. We recommend the bicycle option for those who already have the habit of pedaling, since we are at altitude and the journey requires a little more physical effort. During the journey, we travel through natural clay labyrinths until we reach a viewpoint with a beautiful view of the Andes Mountains and the city of San Pedro de Atacama. After the walk, we enjoyed lunch in the middle of nature before continuing to Laguna Cejar, famous for its waters with approximately eight times more salt than the sea, providing a unique floating experience. The return is scheduled for approximately 4:00 p.m.
During the day, temperatures are usually pleasant, but can drop in the late afternoon. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes for walking and carrying a warmer coat in your backpack for the return.
