“Cris, thank you so much for guiding my wife and I through one of the biggest challenges of our lives. We are not athletes and have little experience on high altitude trails, and yet you guided us with confidence, attention and safety to the top of Cerro Toco. In addition to leading us with a lot of love, kindness and good conversation on the way there and back. I wish you and your wife much success in your journey leading On the Road. A big hug from Brazil!”

About the experience
Departure time is defined according to the day's schedule, usually around lunch time. We begin the experience in Ana's restaurant, an Atacama native who opens the doors of her history and culture to welcome us. While we enjoy a complete menu with a starter, main course and dessert, prepared with typical ingredients from the region, Ana shares stories about the Atacameño culture, their customs, the way they grow their food in the desert and the relationship of their people with the land. The experience is accompanied by infusions prepared with typical herbs from the area, turning this moment into a true immersion in the local culture. After this experience, we continue towards the Rainbow Valley, known for its impressive colorful rock formations, which create one of the most surprising landscapes in the region. The return is scheduled for late afternoon.
